Established in 1942, the Old Time Hockey League is a sim-hockey league which begins in the first year of the Original 6 era of the NHL. The league tries to emulate the history of the NHL as best possible using the STHS simulator software. The OTHL has every player, coach, and referee that has ever stepped on an NHL ice surface.
There is one major difference in the OTHL from the NHL, is the New York/Brooklyn Americans and Montreal Maroons are part of the league, and the continued expansion of the league by adding the Ottawa Senators and Philadelphia Quakers. The extra teams adds to the challenge of winning in the league, and creates some interest history as we rewrite NHL history in the OTHL.
The OTHL tries to keep General Managers active at all times during the seasons and tries to be one of the most complete leagues in the hockey sim world.
